What makes T3RRA Ditch more efficient

When it’s time to ditch, it’s time to ditch and you don’t have time to waste. T3RRA Ditch is built to help make ditching a much more efficient task so you aren’t wasting time surveying and designing when you could be ditching.

A lot of time in the field is wasted on surveying. There are 3 ways T3RRA Ditch operates to reduce time spent on surveying: Drains can be surveyed in either direction, Whole fields can be surveyed, and RTK GPS data can be downloaded from the John Deere Operations Centre.

T3RRA Ditch can start at either end of the drain in order to survey it, this makes the surveying process much more efficient because you are not required to relocate back to the head of each drain to continue surveying.
As well as surveying drains, the entire field can be surveyed using T3RRA Ditch. By surveying the entire field and using the auto drains tool, T3RRA Ditch can create drain lines on the field following where water would naturally flow. Field survey data from T3RRA Ditch can also be exported and used with other T3RRA Software for future projects you may have in mind, and creating future efficiency.
The 3rd method of collecting elevation data is using RTK GPS data that has already been collected from other tasks such as harvesting and has been uploaded to John Deeres Operation Centre. This information can be downloaded directly into T3RRA Ditch and used to create drains. So more time can be spent on getting the design right and implementing and less time spent on surveying.

T3RRA Ditch provides easy creation and manipulation of drain paths and guidance lines, all of which is done on the tablet using touch screen controls. By creating the drain designs on the tablet they can be made wherever you are no matter the time so it can be done when it is most suitable for you.

Drains are created in T3RRA Ditch by using one of 2 tools, the Auto drains tool or the Pattern drains tool.
Auto drains has T3RRA Ditch read the elevation data on the field and creates drain lines following where the water naturally flows so that the drains are as effective is possible.
Pattern Drains creates multiple straight line drains in parallel. The placement of these lines can be set just by moving around anchors shown on the field and make the task creating multiple drains lines as quick as a few presses on the screen.

Drain design is also made more efficient in T3RRA Ditch. Drain design is the primary tool that is used to adjust the settings of individual drains or groups of drains. This tool provides everything that is needed to adjust a drain design such as adjusting the backslopes/batters, setting bottom width, and selecting whether the drain path will be a linear line downhill or if it will try to follow the natural slope of the field. Drain Design also contains the options used to maintain existing drains so that drains you have made before are kept in serviceable condition. Once the settings are applied T3RRA Ditch creates guidance lines that can be used with John Deeres Autotrac system making implementation even easier.

So how do all these functions together create a more efficient process for you. T3RRA Ditch reduces the time spent on surveying by using more time efficient methods, allows you to create designs for your drains whenever you have time, and when it comes time to implement guidance lines are present to be used with John Deeres Autotrac. So you spend less time on preparation and can get straight into Ditching when the time is right.
